That's great, Scott. I envisioned driving all over next fall trying to find them. I see they're using the "razor & blade" concept with the Hawkey outfit, except I had no idea who he was until I looked him up on the internet & found he's been around since 1964. That would have been about when I was entering my super hero fan prime, so I don't know how he slipped by me, lol.

Love Hawkeye, he was one of my favorite Avengers as a kid along with Quicksilver. Both of them were former "villains" along with Scarlet Witch that replaced Thor, Iron Man, Antman & Wasp as the 2nd set of the Avengers with Cap at the helm.
Hawkeye was so brash & cocky (similar to DC's Green Arrow, but I would say right winged opposed to GA's liberalism), but looked to Cap as a mentor eventually. Hawkeye will be in The Avengers movie in the next year or so after the Thor & Captain America movies come out this summer. He will be played by Jeremy Renner of Hurt Locker fame who is aslo a home grown actor here in the San Joaquin Valley, CA (he is from Modesto, CA).
Side note on the mutants Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch - speedster son (Marvel's version of the Flash) & daughter of Magneto. My favorite issue of him is in an Xmen spinoff book (Xfactor I believe) where he is being pyscho analyzed by a therapist on why he is such an arrogant jerk - he says something like "My entire life is waiting in line at an ATM behind somebody who's afraid of the machine, doesn't know how to use it & takes forever to try to get $10."
One of reasons I know & rediscovered this stuff (plus I'm a former/current comic geek) is myboys are so into into superheroes right now, especially the 6yr old with his Super Squad figures I got to keep up with it for the countless questions - "Who's this?", "What does he do?", etc.
Highlander Marx Full of worthless trivia LOL.
PS I forgot to bring this back to a Western theme, Hawkeye went back thru time & partnered with a bunch of Marvel's western heroes (Kid Colt, Rawhide Kid, Two Gun Kid, etc.) for awhile. He brought the Two Gun Kid to modern times & acted as a mentor to him as he adjusted to the 20th century. The Two Gun Kid acts as a lawyer for superheroes (nod to Mrs. Coop).

Scott, That is fantastic that you will be a distributor. We are *very* interested at the Bowling household.
I think the 'build a Hawkeye costume' is a cool idea too. And the secret identity masks are another wonderful bonus. Grayson has most of the suits that were put out within the last 10 years. Still bummed that they did not follow through with the Jonny Quest outfits.

I'm with you on the Jonny Quest, Lee. Unfortunatly, unless someone makes a movie, I doubt we'll ever see him in production. With this new CA line, it sure would be easy though. Just make an Action Boy & 4 simple sets...

I hope they do eventually make the Jonny Quest figures. I saw them at Comic Con and they looked great. Also hoping they will do an Action Boy. The new figures do look good but I am hoping they will keep the retro look of the original figures.

Hey Lee, I'm still waiting on word from the distributor. I won't do any pre-orders until I get the actual figures in hand.... I don't like to say.... well everyone wait and then wait some more..... Scott

I recall the preorders for the 6" figures. The CA fans had pitchforks and torches.

Getting Closer! The figures/uniforms are set to ship to distributors in 'early' October. My initial order is in and confirmed.... Now I'm starting to worry that I may have not ordered enough. So, if you don't mind, could you send me an email telling me how many you plan to buy (Deluxe Figure and different uniform sets)? Based on the real cost of shipping to me I'm thinking about $35 for figure, $25 per uniform set - based on other 'pre-order' prices that's about a $5 discount on each item, but if my shipping costs are way more I might have to charge a buck or two more. My goal is to undercut the other prices but not 'lose' money ;-). So based on that, would you buy from me? and how many? Thanks, Scott
