I mentioned in the Jonny Quest customs thread that I had made a new set of the original cast for Grayson and put them in a carrying case. I am putting pictures of the gang here. The case is actually an aluminum portable tool case that was on clearance a while back. I bought it with the intention of putting Grayson's figures in it when I was done. Lee

Wow, as a long-time fan of Jonny Quest, I must say that I am truly impressed with your work and attention to detail. Fantastic! Could you share as to how you built your figures; i.e. the base figures you started from for each?

Sure Jayworld - glad to share. This is the second set, so in some cases for these I used a rubber mold and cast plastic for the parts. For the original set, I used base Johnny Figures, heads, etc. Dr. Quest & Race use vintage Marx toys 'Mike Hazard' bodies with sculpted changes to a CircleXRanch John Varner head for Dr. Quest and a vintage Mike Hazard head and sculpted hair for Race. Jonny and Hadji combine parts from vintage Marx Jamie, and Janice West bodies. Jonny has sculpted changes to a Jamie head. Hadji has *a lot* of sculpted changes to a Janice head (the turban took me a coupl e of tries) . Bandit was sculpted from scratch. For the second set, Grayson got a Bandit with a little bit of articulation (can move his legs at the 'shoulder' and can turn his head). Here is a link to Scott's Best of the Best Customizing contest page for pics of the original set with their background Mummy's tomb set: www.stewartsattic.com/marx/specials/botb/4thentries.cfmLee
