Like many of you (probably), I was thrilled to see the "new" Marx re-issue several of the vintage figures back in 2001, etc., such as the knights, vikings, Johnny West, etc.
Was wondering what is your take on these? Here is my experiences:
I purchased the silver knight re-issue, new blue knight (Sir Brandon), black knight re-issue (from Noah at a local toy show several years ago!), and Odin the Viking. The accessories for the knights, especially the silver, seem extremely brittle or fragile. I put together Sir Stewart the Silver Knight for display and about 6 months later the belt just snapped in half. The tabs on the knights' armor also seem fragile, maybe more so than the original figures. The head posts of the knight heads seem softer and more pliable as well. We now keep everything in their boxes in a closet, but the silver and blue knights are in a large shoebox with their accessories, as the large knight boxes were too cumbersome and fragile for storage.
The re-issue Odin body seems to be a tad fragile in the joints; mine already has a stress crack in the right elbow region of the upper arm. The accessories are good, though.
Others?

My blue knight seems fine as does Erik. That's all I have so far. The original knights were fragile too. I do prefer the vintage, the plastic is better and they have the look that only comes from age.
