I saw this one on Ebay and remember seeing one in Wheeling a couple years back, but what is the story on them? I don't ever remember seeing one of these as a kid. I did grow up in a small rural community but I always looked at the toy departments when we went to the bigger cities to Christmas shop or to visit my uncle.

Very nice piece. Like Mitch, I am also wondering as to the history of these blow-mold figures. Are they Marx, or knock off toy company that produced toys like you used to see in the grocery stores, 5 and dime stores, etc.?
Any similarity to the blow mold "Defenders" figures produced by Hasbro at the end of the golden age era of GI Joe (1976)?

I really do not know the history on them. Sounds like Dave's packaged examples may shed some light. Lee

The blow molded stuff is almost always an unlicensed knock off. But GI Joe used Irwin to make blow molded vehicles in the GI Joe military era.

Great pieces. It does seem all the blow molds are knock offs.. But knock offs are collectible too. I've been looking for some GI Joe KO sets myself.

It seems there are 2 diff types which probably coincide with the bagged vs the boxed (@ least based on this limited Intel ) bagged has legs non moving just the arms . Boxed both the arms & legs move ie shoulders & hips not elbows or knees.
