Hello,
Everyone was so helpful in identifying CXR heads in a post I had about a month ago & I'm hoping you will be again. I finally got through all my storage boxes & setting them up on shelves & cataloging what I have/need. Didn't realize I had so much stuff. My wife is kindof freaking out a little as I have taken over the entry way/first hallway of our house with Johnny West, Knights & Vikings LOL. Well, here are 21 heads I need help with. I'm not interested in selling any except maybe a few of them (see below).
Also, slowly working on the camel (not getting very far because of the shelf setup) and there are a couple of items that I am now looking for if anyone has:
A - a broken Comanche that I can convert into another custom animal. Yeah I know, finish the camel first, but I'll need another project after the camel is done by the end of the summer (that's the camel goal). Doesn't matter what condition & I don't necessary need the lower parts of the legs or the tail. Any color.
B - 2 right male indian hands
C - 2 stony arms
Back to the CXR heads I need identified:
1 - I don't think this is a CXR head, but could be possibly an early piece. It is very hard plastic & obviously a gold color. It doesn't have the cut out in the back of the neck stem to allow for the arm spring. I believe Noah might have sent with the next 2 heads I got from him very early in the Marx Bros days, but I might be imagining that. Otherwise I have no idea where it came from?
2 - Another very hard plastic head. Obviously, a Cobra head with the added hair & thin beard. I know this was from Noah in the early days of Marxman.
3 - Another very hard plastic head. Obviously, a Geronimo head with added beard. Again, I know this was from Noah in the early days of Marxman.
The rest are the pliable rubber CXR heads
4 - Asian character, when I download it from the Markman website it says - aaaunjustus.jpg if that helps. I think that means his first name is Justus? I plan on making him a Coolie Railroad Worker (Erik white body with a pickaxe & an Asian conical hat I have).
5 - Download says aaunquin.jpg. Quinn?
6 - No idea? I have him on a Mike Hazzard body & I think I had him as a banker or storekeeper.
7 - Pretty sure this one is Tobias Gibson. Download says ptoby.jpg.
8 - Download says pbrave.jpg. We determined that his name is Brave Hawk from the previous identifying thread. I have an extra one of these.
9 -We determined that his name is Little Bear from the previous identifying thread.
10 - No idea? On the following Native ones I gave them their own names when I did a diorama of Iroquois Natives years ago, but I would really like to know what the Original CXR names were. The face paint & accs. were my doing.
11 - No idea?
12 - I think this one was just called the Undertaker. Definitely looks like horror actor Vincent Price to me.
13 - No idea? I have him Otto Blackmon & as a blacksmith, but I'm pretty sure that is a name I came up with.
14 - No idea? I might have had Noah do a Native from a Caucasian head. Possibly aunshaw.jpg from the Marxman site. Shaw?
15 - No idea?
16 - No idea?
17 - In the previous identifying thread we determined this was a Native version of Nate Parker named John Running Bear. He was my version of historical figure Joseph Brant who I am possibly remotely related to on my Dad's maternal side. My Grandmother's original last name is Brant & she was part Mohawk, but later adopted by another family so the connection is a little broken. I wish I would've talked about it more with her when she alive back in the late 80's, but I was young & dumb at the time.
18 - No idea?
19 - No idea? I believe he is a medicine man
20 - No idea? For some reason I think his name was Ironhorse.
21 - Another very hard plastic one, but has a very slight flex to him. Looks like John Wayne with a little weight on him. No idea where I got this & might not be CXR? Has the neck cut out on the stem. Another early Markman head?
Anyways, I hope I have as much success as last time with your guys help identifying the heads & I really do appreciate it.
