I was at work when the auction ended so I placed my bid last night. I bid $400 and got smoked :-} I don't think the seller had much of an idea of what he had. We're all pretty quiet about the auction until after it's ended, it's interesting to see who's all been watching it.

I saw it early on and asked the seller to send a pic of the stamp... Pretty cool... I went all in for $750 and got beat by the high bidder... I should have gone higher but would have had a hard time explaining to the missus ;-)

Background story anyone? Is it really a "Calvary" figure" ? Inquiring minds and all... Nance

Scott I can understand how you must feel, second highest bidder, that close to winning! For me when I saw I hadn't won, it was a relief to see that it had got bid up way out of my range. You must be thinking if only I had bid a Bit more. My guess is that the winner must have bid over $1000.
Dave does this mean you won the figure?
Nance I don't think it's a cavalry figure, the seller said it's a grey colored Sheriff Garrett body. My guess is it's a test shot prototype, the clue is the 20th Century Fox TV logo.
