Would there be any interest in creating an Auction folder under the Trading Post section? I am a member of another collectible forum (baseball cards), and the auction folder in that forum works great. The rules are simple: 1. Poster for each auction lists general description and time auction is over in the Subject line. Example: Johnny West BOTW complete ENDS Mon, 3/31 9 PM EST 2. Poster lists any detailed information in the body of the auction, such as shipping cost (if any) and payment terms (Paypal, check, money order) plus photo(s) of item if desired 3. Poster states terms of auction; i.e. auction starting bid, and if bid has certain increments. 4. Poster cannot post more than 2-3 auctions per week at a time. (this allows more people to post auctions and not have their auctions "buried" with a lot of single posts)
Example: Subject: Johnny West BOTW complete ENDS Monday, 3/31 9 PM EST For auction: complete Johnny West Best of the West in box with all accessories. Figure is about C-8 with a few hair rubs, no crumbling or "crayon" smell. Accessories are complete. Strong box has one broken hinge. Starting bid $25. Any increment (whole dollar) is fine. $8 shipping.
Everything is caveat emptor, but most items do sell. It is up to the poster to monitor their own auction.
Any thoughts?

It would be nicer than having to post an ebay auction. Not sure if we have enough active members but I would give it a try.

Agreed I was thinking the same thing (regarding eBay), and by auctioning here, it would stay in the "family" so to speak, among real collectors and enthusiasts that love the hobby. And of course, we would not worry about things such as dead-beat bidders, shill bidding, etc.
Any other members have any thoughts regarding this? Do you all think it a good idea and beneficial to our group?
Ultimately, this would have to have the blessings of the Admins, etc.

Sorry to bump the thread, but any feedback from Terri or Noah regarding this proposal? Anyone else?

I have not heard from either one way or another and they both kind of turned over some items to Scott and myself so if someone wants to try it we could see how it goes as a trial basis. I have quite a few figures yet to catalog and then will be posting a few items on the board for sale or trade.
