The figure is Marx, but the gold stuff is CXR...probably the rest too.

Ah, that explains the "low" price. Perhaps all the pieces are CRX (soft and hard)?

That would be my guess. The bugle is the dead giveaway, as there are only 4 vintage ones known to exist.

I knew that the bugle was rare, but I did not know it was that rare. I love this forum and all the wealth of information available for our hobby.
Wonder if Tom Heaton has one of the bugles? Memory does not serve correctly, but does he not picture one in his Encyclopedia?

Tom has/had one when he wrote the original book but don't know if he has it anymore.

Nice Jed, but I already have 3 US Jeds and 3 Mexican Jeds as well. Besides the seller does not ship to Canada.

Wow, you must have a nice Jed collection. What do the Mexican Jeds look like? I am only vaguely familiar with the PlastiMarx figures...

The Mexican jeds look pretty much like the JWA ones, perhaps a bit brighter.

Interesting. Do the Mexican Jeds/PlastiMarx figures show the brittleness of the later Marx re-issues from Mexico (Vikings, Knights, Custer, Johnny West)?

I have just seen photos and I don't have one. Haven't heard they brittle. They were made before the other reissues you mentioned.
