This is in response to the plea for a tutorial on posting photos from Photobucket into Pro Boards postings. Bear with me, I will try to explain the method I use. (It probably is not the only way)
(This is an up an updated version of my posting from 8/13/2012
(Maybe the site host can create a "Category" for sharing "How To" information )
I have sugested this before to no avail...The moderator should to implant this catagory onto the "Home Board" so that those seeking info on this subject can find it more easily.(I suggest this, as this is how I have seen it done on other Pro-Board sites.) This is how I learned what I know about posting Picts!
1. You must have a photo hosting site. (Photobucket is what was recommended by the other broboards site that I learned this from, so it is what I use.)
2. To use photobucket, go to www.photobucket.com & sign up. (Its Free)
3. Once you are in "My home" click on 'Upload"
4. You will be given the option to "Select Photos and Videos")
5. When you click on this, it will allow you to select any Photographic subjects you have previously stored within you computer.(your "Pictures or videos files for example)
6.It will promt you to open your picture, and when you do, it will download it to your "Photo Bucket" album. (this works for videos too, but they can take longer.)
If you have more than one photo that you want to grab, (and they are in sequence in your picture file) Highlight them all, and when you click "OPEN" it will grabe them all.
7. Once it is in "Photobucket", simply click on the photo, and options for several links/ codes will appear off to the right or below. IMG code is what you are looking for in this application.
8. To transfer any image to our "Circle X Ranch" site, capture/copy the IMG code (highlight with your curser) and paste right into your message. It will appear as a code only, untill you click "Preview".
9. Thus you can paste as many images in your posting as you wish.
Hope this makes sense. Now start posting lots of pictures ! The more the merrier!
(I visit the site most days. If this does not help, make comments and I will try to make things clearer. My understanding of this vurtual world is tough enough, communicating it is even tougher !)
GOOD LUCK RANCHERS
