I've been wanting to add a FAF Fighting Eagle to my collection for some time. My quandry, due to personal experiences with the vintage caramel bodied figures disintegrating over the years; does the flesh colored FAF Fighting Eagle figure also begin to get brittle over time, and does the BOTW Fighting Eagle (caramel) have the same brittleness as the other caramel figures? I've lost two Johnnys, two Chief Cherokees, a Jamie and a Jay West over the years....
Thanks.

The 'Caramel' FE's are really not 'caramel' colored. We just use that term to differentiate it from the 'Flesh' colored one. So it is not made with the came color pellets as the true caramel colored figures. The only issue I've seen with the caramel FE's is that sometimes the shoulder on the torso is cracked. But that is caused by the heavy one-part BOTW / JWA spring, not by any plastic weakness - same happens with sam and other figures using that spring. If you get one of the later ones with this heavy spring, swap it immediately for the easy pull one part or the 2 part spring from earlier figures. You can keep the heavy spring if you want to 'keep' it original. Scott

FWIW: I have BOTH versions of Fighting Eagle with original springs . . . and neither one has issues with cracks at the shoulders. The spring for the "caramel" Eagle is, indeed, VERY strong/tight.
P.S. The "caramel" Eagle has the shoulder rivets ; the "flesh" Eagle does not.

Hmm I need a boxed FAF Eagle, or at least the box. That and a box for Bill Buck and that will complete my FAF collection.
