Been so long since I'd seen it, I decided to dig it out. I was wrong about the scale...this is more along the 6" figure line. I picked it up a few years ago at an antique shop. It's missing a couple pieces, most notably the tailgate, which I figure the odds of ever finding only slightly better than winning the lottery, lol. This seems to be one of the more obscure Marx toys, (late 1950s, I think) as I've only seen one other on Ebay. What that means in terms of value, I don't know...not sure they're real highly sought after. I think they came in two versions...this & the "Pioneer Covered Wagon", which is the box I have. I don't know if it came that way from the factory or if the boxes got switched somewhere along the line. This is the way I got it. Terry The box is in the next pic. Attachments:

The box. Gotta love the "Unbreakable Polyethylene" in those bold letters...guess they underestimated kids a bit, lol. Attachments:

That's a mighty pretty wagon and a nice looking box. Peobably puffing a bit about the unbreakable thing.

Check this out...while researching this piece I ran across another one. Evidently this was contracted out to Marx by A&P to commemorate thier 100th anniversary back in 1959. They used one of the horses from the wagon sets. I'd love to have this in my collection. Terry Attachments:
