Just thought this would be of interest with the customizing contest coming up......I had used some print your own decal paper on a couple of models. We have actually started scanning any decals my sons and I come across just to have as back-ups in case there is a problem when applying them. There are several sources available, but here is the link the paper we have used:

A couple of thinkgs to know:
- The 'clear' paper is good when you need to be able to see through any border or edges and cannot easily cut the decal close to the actual transferred image - but - There is more transparency to the image itself. At least that is the case with our Injet printer.
- The 'solid' or 'white' paper has less transparency, but you have to be able to cut close to the image because whatever you do not print will be a solid white when you apply the decal.
- Follow the directions regarding spraying with laquer after printing - but - it is best to use the decals within a few days after spraying. I had one batch I prepared weeks before using on a custom figure. The laquer had dried to the point of cracking whenever the paper was flexed and it let the water get through to the ink on the image. That lead to wasted decals.
- before recentely I had only used them on plastic model kits. But I have found that they can be very handy for custom figures for logos, emblems, intricate designs that would be hard to paint, etc.
