There is a local Dallas toy show on April 5, Saturday. Details: The North Dallas Toy Show will be at the Valley View Shopping Mall, 13331 Preston Rd, Suite.1064, Dallas, TX 75240. Admission is only $2.00.
This is interesting because there are very few toy shows now in the Dallas/Plano area, excluding Comicons in Irving/Richardson/Plano, as they are geared mostly towards comic action figure collectors and admission is steep for GA (usually $20).
Also, International GI Joe Con will be in Dallas on April 10-13 of this year, celebrating 50 years of GI Joe, at the Hyatt Regency near downtown Dallas. I'm sure there will be dealers with Johnny West items, too.

It's the GI Joe and Toy show. This could possibly be a good show. I think it is put on by James Desimone.

Two finds! I got an orange Donald Duck to go with my red and green one for $3 and a Sam Troy Rat Patrol figure for $4. So I was pretty happy! Didn't see a single horse which I can't remember ever happening before!

Great that you found something and for a good price. Probably good too that there were no horses.

fortapache, keep me posted on what you decide on the show on Saturday. I would be more inclined to go if I had someone to walk around with.

Will be attending the International GI Joe 50th Anniversary Show on Saturday in Dallas. Will report back and let you know if I see any Marx figures for sale and/or if I pick up anything.
Follow-up from Show today: Really good show; about 50 dealers or so in a very large area. GI Joe split was about 60% 3 3/4" and 40" 12"; about 25% vintage. Prices were really high. Saw a few Marx figures from three dealers; all overpriced, and none complete. Only one boxed figure; Princess Wildflower BOTW, not complete, for $80. One dealer had four loose Marx figures, all re-issue with different heads; Custer head on Erik Viking body (re-issue), etc. Saw Stoney Smith loose for $20 but with Capt. Maddox head. No horses at the show at all. Came back with zilch.
