I know that the Mego figures are not exactly 1/6th scale, at 8" tall, but collectors of Megos have a lot to be excited about lately, with Figures, Inc. producing new-style Mego-like character remakes of the original Mego Worlds Greatest Superheroes line, as well as a new line based upon the Batman 1966 TV show, Kiss figures (8" and 12"), Dukes of Hazzard, Evel Knievel, etc., and Bif Bang Pow creating the Mego-style Battlestar Galactica line, Six Million Dollar Man, etc. Lots of cool stuff.
Anyone on the boards collect Mego or the new "Mego" figures?
Also, is anyone a member of the Mego Museum forums? Although I am member, I have found those forums extremely difficult and frustration, unlike the greatness that is the CXR Proboards. This forum is so fantastic in so many ways, and mostly, everyone on the board is so knowledgeable and NICE. On the Mego boards, while there is a great deal of buying/selling, and good discussion, sometimes it gets very heated. Further, although I have been a member there for 3+ years, I am locked out of posting for some reason, and the admins will not respond to email queries, etc.
I still have the following Megos from my childhood: Complete Planet of the Apes line, along with the Forbidden Zone play set, as well as from the WGSH line: Riddler, Penguin, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Spider-Man, Captain America, and the new repro Joker, Wolfman, Dracula, Herman Munster, and Grandpa Munster

I never had any, but my little brother had a few. All that remains of them are parts of a Superman & some police equipment.

Any body else collect; have their Megos from childhood? Can't believe I'm the only one on the boards that collects Megos… ;-)

I have the orange/blonde bearded Action Jackson and his safari accessories. That's awesome. The blond Action Jacksons (clean shaven and bearded versions) are harder to find than the brunette versions. I don't have my AJ anymore but at one time had the beadless, bearded, Ski Patrol set, Navy set, and the wired remote control 3-wheel "motorcycle."

I have a couple Mego/Mego-style figures, most of them are repro figures (with the exception of Mr. Scott, Robin, and the Batmobile), but here is some of what I have: the Diamond Select Star Trek "Magnificent Seven" reproductions, aliens, and Enterprise Bridge. The Mattel Retro-Action line (only a couple), Bif Bang Pow Six Million Dollar Man figures, Batman Television Series Series One, and the Zica Buck Rogers figure. They are really neat figures, but I only wish they were 12 inches tall so they could go with Johnny.

Used to collect them, but I sold them all years ago. I also used to make custom superheroes that Mego never made - Wolverine, ghost rider, etc. I even had the rarer original Teen Titans figures. The only ones I kept were my 12" KISS figs. I Pretty much limit myself to JW now. I think might have some of my customs still up on Mego Museum, but that could have been over 10 yrs ago now.

Jayworld, the quality of the Steve figures is good, but I did have some trouble with the rubber bands. With the Bigfoot and Rudy Wells figures that I got, my dad and I had to reconnect the rubber bands because they had come off the hooks in either the arms or legs, but other wise the quality is very good and Oscar's tin tote briefcase makes a very nice carrying case. With Buck, the only problem was that the rubber padding on the inside of his helmet came loose (just one of the three pads), but otherwise he is super posable and very good quality.
Highlander, I looked at your customs and they look great!
