Picked up this little cutie at a thrift sale today for $2. Seems like I vaguely recall them back in the 70's, which judging by it & the box, looks to be the era it was made. No brand name other than Sears, Made in Hong Kong. All intact & fully functional, too. Terry Attachments:

Interesting piece. Was it made for matchbox/hot wheels sized cars?

Just the right size. By the 70s, I think just about everyone had found a way to capitalize on the Hotwheels/Matchbox craze, lol. This piece is from a line called "Road Mates" & was exclusive to Sears. They also had various size carrying cases, an auto test center & a very cool battery operated car hauler, but I don't think they made any of those scale cars.
