Could someone enlighten me: eBay # 181039724538 The SELLER claims that this item has never been out of the box and the accessories are in sealed bags. However, the box HAS been opened to show its contents. Further, the HAT is clearly not in a sealed bag. Have I misunderstood the terms used to describe vintage items?

It is a variation of Mint In Box which means it has a box. If it is in the box it must be mint. This was obviously never removed from the box because when they got it Jane was in the box.
I have seen this at least a hundred times could be the sellers are ignorant or just puffing a bit.

Given the age, I supposed it could be considered never used, like some kid got it & lost interest right away after opening it. Sort of like finding an old toaster or whatever still boxed in an attic. That being said, I wouldn't pay that much for a regular turquiose Jane no matter how mint everything was.

" ... This was obviously never removed from the box because when they got it Jane was in the box."Well . . . the photos in the eBay posting CLEARLY show her "out of the box" . . . so she HAS been removed. Therefore, I would presume that it HAS BEEN USED rather than take the Seller's word that it hasn't. P.S. She didn't sell the first time at $160 . . . now re-listed as B.I.N for almost half that original price. Usual case of: Buyer Beware !!!
