Had a little trouble with a mouse back in November. As you can see he ruined a custom painted hat that was sitting on the carpet. Attachments:

He also did a number on Chuck's nose and hair. Since then I've removed all the figures that were standing on the carpet and stored them away. I've also set traps and placed poison out for the mouse as well I've bought an electronic device that's suppose to keep them away. I've had no trouble with the mouse since then, but one block of poison is gone so hopefully the mouse is dead. Attachments:

Mice are nasty. Hope it is gone for good. I had a chipmunk get in the house last summer but either the cats got it or it got back out.

I've lived in this house for 17 years and there has always been mice in here. This house is 94 years old and not in good shape so there is probably 100 different places where the mice can get in. In the 10 years that I've been collecting this is the first time I've had trouble with the mice attacking the figures. I think the reason why it chewed the head and hat is because they were sitting down on the carpet where it could get at it easily. My collection is so large that I have no more room to set them up on the furniture so I had many of them standing on the carpet leaning up against the furniture. As I said in the previous message I removed all figures that were sitting down low and stored them away. I know that mice can climb, but I don't think that it will go out of it's way to get at the figures up high. As well I've left a few junk accessories on the floor in case it wants another chew toy as well as the traps and poison. It's been over a month since this happened and I've had no more problems so hopefully the mouse id dead from the poison that went missing. The chuck figure was no loss as I can easily replace it and I never really liked the Chuck head anyway, but that hat was custom painted by Noah and can not be replaced so it's a loss.

My childhood figures sat in a big cardboard box with some other toys in the closet of my grandma's mouse infested house for 30 years & although though they ruined most of the other stuff, the only damage to the figures was a GI Joe shirt & a small nibble on Fighting Yank's head. Nothing short of a miracle, lol.

Very nice, from what I can make out in the photos (forum does not allow one to click to enlarge anymore…what's up with that?) that several of you have a wonderful, dedicated room with fine collections. The custom CXR cavalry figures are top notch. Noah did great work on those!

Looks like we need to clean out the old photos. People should get their own photo hosting anyway. Works much better.
