Howdy Ranchers! Awful glad this subject has come up, cuz this year; it being totally Virtual, I think I'm game! As far as categories goes; I like the "Themed" more than "Time Periods;" for simplification as JW said! However I also agree with Nance & Terry about Dave's idea of followin' the path of the past, with perhaps what Nance said about vehicles judged! Since however, lookin' back at the history of the contest, I'm not sure, for example, where something like a building, or a Limber Wagon, & Cannon, would fall, & since any entry I submitted would include figures & vehicles/buildings etc., etc., I reckon, I'll leave it up to ya'll, & then try to figure out where to submit! Another question that arises, are the entries, 1 photo; or a series of photos, showin' different angles etc.? Thanx fer continuing to do this Scott! & as Dave said, it'll make it easier not having to be at the show, & set up! Tumbleweed, if ya wanna see entries from years past, go to Scott's site, & click on Customizing Contest, at the bottom of the page!! There's some really cool stuff, to see! www.stewartsattic.com/marx/index.cfm Another question is, what month is the Show this year!? With enough advance, perhaps I'll try this year! Hope ya'll are enjoyin' 2012 so far!!! See ya 'round the Ranch!

I'm thinking 4 pictures per entry. That should give enough visual flexibility. Also as much text as you need to describe your creation.
Mykol, A cannon and limber would be a single (if you had some Marx item), add a driver and it's a duet, add the horses and it's a set. Trying to focus on 'Marx' but I know there will be other 'things' in there, but there has to be at least one Marx (vintage or modern) element.

The Wheeling show is always June around the third weekend. This contest may coincide, or it may be a little later.... Decisions likely made this weekend.

Later's fine with me...the time really seems to slip away on the CC & I always find myself scurrying to get my entries in just under the wire, LOL!

Scott, If we wanted to bring a custom to the convention would the 'school room' be available for display?
Thanks, Lee

Mykol (and all) the show is being held June 15th and 16th. I just got the email from Kruger Street. On a side note has anyone heard how things are going with Francis at his museum?
